Vectrus TOUR COORDINATOR in Kuwait
Under the direction of the Lead Tour Coordinator, the Tour Coordinator provides assistance in the organization, revision and implementation of off-post leisure, educational and cultural tours for service members within the ASG-KU theater of operations.
MAJOR JOB ACTIVITIES:
1.Executes daily oversight and reporting of/for MWR Tours satellite office.
2.Assists the Lead, with training new tour staff on policies and procedures related to execution of the MWR Tours program.
3.Assigns tour guides to tours, creates schedules, and provides tasking/guidance for Tours’ office staff.
4.Assists the Lead, with maintaining property/asset care and accountability for MWR Tours satellite office.
5.Plans, coordinates, revises, and executes local cultural and recreational tours.
a.Accepts tour reservations.
b.Collects, compiles, and checks all reporting submissions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with regulations.
c.Initiates Transportation Movement Requests (TMR) and coordinates transportation through the local military agency and subcontracted transportation service.
6.Prepares, introduces and may present new site presentations for command consideration.
7.Coordinates with supporting agencies, including Force Protection, Security Services, Installation Transportation (ITO) and Directorate of Installation Services (DIS) to determine availability and other issues that may impact planned, approved off-post travel.
8.Communicates Force Protection guidance, policy updates and changes to tour participants.
9.Assists the Lead, in overseeing and monitoring tour bookings and participation to ensure compliance with Force Protection policies and regulations. Ensures strict adherence to USG issued policies and SOP(s) regarding Tours.
10.Coordinates with MWR Marketing & Media to revise and produce publications and correspondence for public posting.
11.May serve as primary/alternate POC for the MWR Tour program in the North, and maintains vigilant communication with MWR Management and MWR COR(s).
12.Performs other duties as assigned.
MATERIAL & EQUIPMENT DIRECTLY USED:
Personal computer, laptops, scanners, printers, faxes, other network equipment and other general office equipment.
Work is generally conducted in an office environment. However, duties may occasionally involve working outside with a potential exposure to extreme temperatures. Employee use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is required for some situations. PPE includes but is not limited to head, foot, torso, respiratory, vision, and hearing protective devices. Must comply with all Fire and Safety Regulations and post policies.
Work may require heavy lifting up, stooping, climbing, prolonged standing, prolonged sitting, and working with or in areas where a potential could exist for exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents
Education/Certifications:One year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
High school diploma or equivalent required.Some college education in Leisure, Hospitality, or Social Sciences preferred.
CPR/AED and First Aid certification from a nationally/internationally accredited agency is required within 60 days of hire.
Two years customer service and general experience in administration and scheduling required.Background in cultural site tour planning and/or proposals preferred.
Must have a demonstrated proficiency in English language communication both written and verbal.Must have a superior level of organizational and planning skills with emphasis on attention to detail and accuracy of information. Collaborative work style, fostering cooperation and teamwork are required.Demonstrated ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, as well as ability to prioritize responsibilities in order to handle a demanding workload is required. Must be able to deal tactfully andeffectively with employees in all levels of the organization as well as high ranking military officials. Must be proficient using MS Office and other related programs.Must be highly skilled in written and verbal communications and able to deal tactfully andeffectively with employees in all levels of the organization. Must possess a strong command of the English language (written and verbal).General knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and/or InDesign preferred but not required.
