Exp Federal Inc., is accepting contingent applications for exciting career opportunities overseas in CENTCOM AOR including but not limited to Kuwait,Iraq,Jordan,UAE,Bahrain,Qatarin conjunction with a contract supporting the U.S. Military.
Electricians will perform highly skilled maintenance, installation, repair and troubleshooting work involved with electrical distribution systems. Electrical work may be performed in a number of areas including heating, refrigeration, motors, fire alarms, and generator equipment. Work involves technical application of electrical principles. Performs other related tasks as required.
Principle Areas of Responsibility
Install, service and repair lighting fixtures, electrical panels, outlets and wiring.
Operate power hand tools and other specialized electrical equipment.
Install, repair and service specialized electrical equipment and machinery.
Construct and maintain service equipment.
Read electrical circuit diagrams.
Requisition material and supplies from stockroom; call vendors to discuss needs for parts and supplies, and recommend purchases and suppliers.
Transfer primary power from one power source to another.
Install conductors, splices cable, build terminations and do necessary hookup for primary power lines.
Set poles, strings overhead lines and do overhead line maintenance.
Lay underground conduit for electrical lines and install low voltage electric lines and conduits for telephone systems.
May do other trades work incidental to electrical work.
Supervise other regular employees during a minor portion of the employee's work time; duties include assigning and reviewing work.
The Skills, Knowledge and Abilities We Seek
Knowledge of electrical theory and methods, materials, tools, equipment and systems used in the electrical trade; thorough knowledge of NEC 2008 and regulations pertaining to the electrical trade; inspection of, identification, and knowledge of all electrical distribution systems (24-12K volts); methods and practices followed in the maintenance of tools, machinery, and equipment; safety precautions to be observed in the maintenance and installation of electronic and mechanical equipment.
Licensed Journeyman Electrician by U.S. state, municipality, or territory or equivalent qualifications/Certifications for states that do not issue licenses with at least 5 years of experience or UK equivalent, level 3 NVQ Diploma in Installing Electro technical Systems and Equipment from an accredited organization registered with the Office of Qualifications and Examinations regulation in the United Kingdom . “
JIB card is required for all UK electricians.
Four years as a licensed, journeyman-level electrician in a commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
Must possess a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record.
Ability to complete the following training as required: forklift operation certification; lock out tag out, fall arrest, confined space, MSDS, asbestos and lead identification, ladder safety, emergency evacuation, OSHA and respirator training.
Perform physical activities, such as, but not limited to, lifting equipment (up to 50 lbs. unassisted), bending, standing, climbing or walking. Safely use manual tools and power equipment common in the construction trades. Must be able to handle hazardous materials safely and tolerate exposure to electrical and other environmental hazards.
